Therapy tailored to your individual needs - in person and online

Work towards your own manageable and realistic goals for change and growth

Psychotherapy, Mindful Self-Compassion and Training. Welcome to KindfulWay!

Do you ever feel stressed, stuck, confused or overwhelmed by emotions? Do you long for a safe space where you can feel listened to and where you can untangle the knots in your heart and head?

I can help you to find greater clarity, balance and peace of mind. I can help you to gently and kindly explore your internal and external worlds so that you are able to see the patterns of your life and relationships more clearly. Therapy is a journey - and sometimes a rollercoaster ride! I will be there beside you: supporting, suggesting, holding, containing - travelling at your pace, moving towards your goals.

We can meet in person in Central Hove, or online. If we meet in person there are strict COVID-19 safety measures in place at the consulting rooms I use, so that you can feel safe and secure.

I am an accredited Cognitive Analytic Therapy Practitioner, qualified Social Worker, EMDR therapist and Mindful Self-Compassion teacher with over 15 years experience working in the NHS in Brighton & Hove and across East Sussex and West Sussex in a range of settings, from serious mental illness through to cancer and palliative care services. I am accredited by The Association for Cognitive Analytic Therapy and I am registered with Social Work England

About Cognitive Analytic Therapy - see my video clip!

Self-compassion is integral to my approach to therapy and I have completed the Self-Compassion in Psychotherapy (SCIP) training run by the Center for Mindful Self Compassion
I have been a practitioner of mindfulness meditation for over 30 years and have been teaching meditation and compassion-based approaches for the last 10 years. My psychotherapy practice is based in Hove, East Sussex; I deliver Mindful Self Compassion training in Worthing, Brighton, Hove and across East Sussex and West Sussex. I also work nationally, delivering training and workshops in Cognitive Analytic Therapy, relationships & relational skills, resilience, self-compassion and advanced communications skills.

I am a Compassion Circles facilitator and trainer. Compassion Circles - also called 'Taking Care, Giving Care' - are beginning to be used widely in the NHS in England and Wales.
